I am glad that you have considered doing one of our Christmas plays. I don't know how long the plays take. I would guess that we performed most of the plays in about 30 minutes. It would depend on how many songs you used, and how quickly the characters moved on the scenes and said their lines. You could sit and read through the play as it would be performed and maybe get an idea of how long it would take then add a few minutes for each song.

I like to look at the steps as A, B, C. Accept that you are a sinner. Believe that Jesus died for your sin. Confess to Him.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Melchizedek was the King of Salem and priest that Abraham gave tithes to. Some think he is a type of Christ in that we don't have his "beginning of days" as seen in the 7th chapter of Hebrews. Other references are found in Hebrews 5:6,10 and Hebrews 6:20. Genesis 14:18 - 20 tells of him blessing Abraham and he is also mentioned in Psalms 110:4.
In Isaiah 44:8 God said that there is no God beside him but in Acts 7:55 God said our Lord Jesus are in his right side. Please help me explain what it meant so that I can share also to others thanks.. Godbless

We have only human understanding so we can't really explain or understand all about our holy God, but I will give you some scriptures that may help explain the three Deities of God.
After Jesus was buried and rose from the dead He appeared to the disciples. Before He went back to heaven He told them, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" Matthew 28:19 This shows the three parts of God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. We see that all three were at the creation in the beginning. God the Father in Genesis 1:1. God the Holy Ghost in Genesis 1:2. And John explains that God the Son is the Word of God and became man in Genesis 1:3 and John 1:1-3 and 14.
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
Another example is found when Jesus was baptized by John in Matthew 3:16-17. "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Here we see the Son of God coming up out of the water, the heavens are open and the Spirit of God is descending like a dove and lighting on Him and then there is the voice of God the Father from Heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
And in Hebrews 1:8 God the Father refers to Jesus the Son as God. "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
We also see in John 3:16 that God the Father gave His Son Jesus to die and save all who believe on Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Before Jesus died on the cross He told the disciples that after He went up to heaven, the Holy Ghost would come and live in their hearts.
John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;"
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
God is one God, but there are three parts. People also have three parts, a body, a soul, and a spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Thank you for your question about Bible meditation. Psalms 1:1-2 tell us to meditate day and night.
"Psalms 1:1 ¶Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
In the New Testament Paul told Timothy "Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all." I Timothy 4:15
As you read the Bible, pray that God will make the Word clear in your mind and heart, then think about what you read. You can read the Bible and read devotionals such as the ones I add to the web site each day.

Thank you for your question about a cd for our plays. We are just a small church and write and perform our plays just before Christmas. We have several ladies in the church that play the piano and we do our own music. You might could find the songs if you searched online, or you can change the music to songs you already know.

There are several Christmas plays and you can see the links on the left side of the Questions Page. At this time I have not written an Easter play. There is a "Bible Broadcast Play" that our youth performed for the adults and they all loved it. It could be done at any time of the year. Thank you for your interest.

Thank you for asking about our Christmas plays. I have several Christmas plays on the Devotions Website. We wrote these and they may be printed and used freely. "When an infant child passes away where do they go?"
When here on earth, Jesus took the little children into His arms and blessed them. When little children die, I believe Jesus is standing in heaven with open arms to welcome them to live in heaven forever. To be saved, we must confess our sin and believe that Jesus died to save us and ask Him to forgive us and save us. Until children reach the age of knowing they need to be saved, they are safe in the arms of Jesus.

1&2 Samuel and 1 Kings the account of David and in 1&2
Chronicles... what's the differences in the 2 sources?
I Chronicles is like a summary of all that happened before, going back to the first man, Adam, with special attention to King David. There must have been even more accounts of the same stories because there are several books mentioned in First and Second Chronicles which we don't have, such as the chronicles of King David (I Chron 27:24), book of Nathan and book of Gad (I Chron 29:29), book of Shemaiah and Iddo (II Chron 12:15), and the book of Jehu (II Chron 20:34). Several more references are mentioned which we don't have. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and He has preserved the scriptures which we have today. In the New Testament, many of the same accounts are also told in the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
"Do dogs go to heaven?"
I do not know of any verses about dogs in heaven. I do know that in the book of Revelations there are horses. "And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." Revelation 19:14

I believe the Bible. The first verse says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 God created Adam and Eve, the first man and woman. We are not told where God came from. He has always been. That is not something that our earthly minds can understand. God spoke the worlds into existence. More verses that describe God are...
Psalms 90:2 "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."
Deuteronomy 4:31 "(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them." God is merciful and gave His Son, Jesus Christ to die to pay for our sin.
Psalms 50:6 "And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah." God is the righteous Judge and all who are not saved by His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, will be cast into hell for eternity.
Leviticus 20:7 "Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God." God is holy.
Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" God is a trinity -- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
We can't know everything about God, but we can know God when we accept His gift of eternal life through Jesus.

I think the best way to learn about the Bible is to read it and pray that God will show you something new each day. You may also want to look at the Bible Study and Books of the Bible study.
"How did God let people believe in Him? Did God let us choose it?"
Thank you for your question. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." The word "whosoever" sounds a little like our word, "whatever" that we say to mean anything or everything. When the Bible says "whosoever believeth" it means anybody or everybody that will believe. God lets us choose if we want to believe in Him or not. First we need to understand that we all do wrong things, or sin, and that sin has to be punished or paid for. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sin. If we believe that He died for us we can tell Him that we are sorry and ask Him to forgive us of our sin. When we choose to believe on Him then He will live in our heart and give us a home in heaven. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
How do I memorize Scriptures?
Thank you for sending your question to our devotions web site on how to memorize scripture. I think a good way to start is to read your Bible and ask God to show you His Word. When you find a verse that really means something special to you, it will be easier to remember. After you find a verse that you want to memorize, write it on a small card or piece of paper and put it where you can read it over and over. You can put it at the bathroom mirror and read it while you brush your teeth and comb your hair. You can put it at the kitchen sink and read it while you wash dishes or put it on your refrigerator and read it everytime you open the refrigerator door. If it is a longer verse, you may want to learn the first phrase one day, then add a little each day. If you want to learn a chapter, like the 23rd Psalm, it might be easy to read the entire Psalm, but learn one verse at a time. You can also read the verse right when you go to bed and try to say it over and over in your mind until you fall asleep.

I have Christmas, Easter and Fall Bible Jeopardy games on the website. At my daughter's birthday party in May I used Bible questions for a Western theme Bible Jeopardy. The catagories were Coyboy hats (Hats in the Bible), Cowboy boots (Shoes), Horses, Cattle, and Guitars (music in the Bible), I will try to post those questions on the web site this week. If you can tell me what type theme you will be using, I can try to find Bible questions that will go along with it. There are many games on the Activities page if you get a chance to look at them. The "In Like Manner" game is a people Bible Bingo that is a great ice breaker to help people get to know each other. There are also different catagories that could be used in Bible Pictionary or Bible Charades. Please let me know if there are any specific games I can help you with. I would like to explain the two natures we have to pre-teens and
teens.
Thank you for your question about the two natures of people. I once heard an old preacher that explained it to be like two dogs, a good dog and an evil dog that fight inside your mind. The one that you feed is the one that will win. If we feed the fleshly nature, the flesh will win. If we feed the spiritual nature, with Spiritual activities such as prayer, Bible reading, worship and Christian fellowship the good nature will win. Romans 7:5 is a good verse... "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."
Does the bible speak of "Convictions?"
Thank you for your question about Bible Convictions. I looked up the word "convictions" at Dictionary.com and the first definition is "A fixed or firm belief". So, although the word "convictions" is not in the King James Bible, which is the version I use, the Bible is the basis of Christianity beliefs. We have just finished our devotional theme from the book of Exodus, which contains the basis of God's Law, The Ten Commandments. We know, through the reading of God's Word, and Holy Spirit conviction, that we are to obey the Ten Commandments. We know not to steal and not to kill. Because people could not always obey all of God's commands, sacrifices were offered to pay for sin. In the New Testament we read that Jesus, God's Son, came to die and give Himself to be our sacrifice. When we trust in Him, the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin, and we confess and believe unto salvation. The Holy Spirit then lives in our heart and guides us through convictions. We read the Bible and God gives us understanding of Christian beliefs, and we pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us and show us right and wrong for things that are not specifically spelled out. James encourages us to ask God for wisdom (James 1:5) and several verses speak of trusting in the Lord to lead you. Please let me know if this does not help you with your question on Bible convictions.

Thank you for sending an email to our devotional web site. I started writing our devotionals to send to my son when he went away to college, so most of these are more advanced than the age you are looking for. I do have some games on the site that children could play. We are the youth leaders at our church, and we have all ages at the activities so I try to plan things even the small children can do. The Activities page has some Back to School ideas that our kids have really enjoyed in the past. The Five Loaves and Two Fish game is fun for the little children. There is also a Vacation Bible School activities page with animal Bible stories and animal games. There is a Sea Voyage Relay that small kids could play. The Tower of Babel and Animal Talk are fun for little ones. Sorry I do not have many devotions for that age, but if you look over the activities pages you might find games you could do to go along with the Bible stories.

In teaching others to trust God and believe in His promises, we must be careful that we don't encourage them to love because He promises to meet their needs. I read this in a book is this true?
I had trouble understanding the sentence, but maybe it is saying that the reason for our love to God should not be so that He will meet our needs. We are instructed in the Bible to love God as we read in I John 4:19, "We love him, because he first loved us." We are also told to love each other, as in I John 4:11, "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." We know from John 3:16 that God loved us so much He gave His Son to die for us. With so great a love, how can we not love Him? In regards to God meeting our needs, I am reminded of Romans 8:31-32, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" and Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
We are to love God and love each other. But, we don't love God just because He meets our needs.
WHO IS RONDA IN BIBLE SCRIPTURE AND WHAT DID SHE DO?
I use an Old King James Version of the Bible and there is not a Ronda spelled as such. There is a Rhoda in Acts 12:13. "And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda." Peter was in prison, "sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains". The church made prayer continually for him. One night, the angel of the Lord came and released Peter, and the chains fell off his hands. The angel lead him safely out through the first and second ward and through the iron gate "which opened to them of his own accord". When they got into the street, the angel "departed from him." Peter thought he was dreaming, but finally realized where he was and went to the house where many of the people were praying. Rhoda went to the door when he knocked. "And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter." (Acts 12:14-18) I think that sometimes we are like the people in this story. We pray for things, and when God answers our prayers we don't even believe it!
To what priest did Abraham give 10% of what he owned?
"And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all." (Genesis 14:18-20) We also see in Hebrews 7:1-2, "For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is King of peace;" Jacob also promised to give God ten percent at Bethel, where he dreamed of the angels ascending and descending on the ladder that reached to heaven. "And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee." (Genesis 28:20-22) My favorite verse about tithing is the challenge found in Malachi 3:10, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
Where do you find the verse, "Birds of a feather flock together"?
The quote that you asked about, "Birds of a feather flock together" is not in the Bible that I read from, The King James Version. There are many old sayings that people think are in the Bible because they are quoted so much. You may be able to find verses in Proverbs about friendship, if you search the word "friend". (For another question... you may find something relative to teens on the Biblical Choices page.
A verse that has that meaning is "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." Proverbs 13:20

For Autumn, you might like the Bible Jeopardy For October game. In Like Manner is a People Bible Bingo where each person finds another person in their group to match a Bible characteristics on his or her sheet. We did this as a large group activity and people of all ages really enjoyed it and learned more about each other. Time to Every Purpose is a group of story-telling ideas taken from Ecclesiastes 3:1 which says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." The Bear Hunt could also be done with various ages. Alpha and Omega is a game using the first and last verses of several books of the Bible. These are a few of the games which don't require much physical activity. Please also feel free to print and copy any of the Bible puzzles that might be useful. I was raised believing that since I am Caucasian, I should marry a Caucasian...My friend is dating an African American, and I don't believe it is wrong, although I am expected to believe it, and I was wondering if you could help me find some strong set scriptures in the Bible to lead me to believing one way or the other. I just always thought, there will not be race in Heaven so why should it matter on Earth. God created everyone, sent Jesus to die for everyone, and He is Lord and God over all...so where does race fit in the picture? I mean..there is not a different God for each race. We are all equal in His eyes? So why is biracial relationships unaccepted? Or only black/white relationships? Because most of the time those are the ones struck at... a white person could date a Mexican/Indian/Chinese or any other..and you don't really hear as much about that as you do a White/Black. I just need some help and I figured this would be the best place to find it that way it will help me and I can help my friend see things clearer.
Some people are prejudiced just because their parents were, and their grandparents were, and they won't change. The Bible does not tell us that we can't date people of other races. However, we are told not to date unbelievers if we are Christians. I have used a few Scripture references and hope this will help you with your questions.
"Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14) This scripture is the most important deciding factor for relationships. We are not to be yoked together with unbelievers. Christians should date other Christians. Racial prejudices are not new with our society. We have examples of prejudice early in the Bible. "And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman." (Numbers 12:1) Verse 10 tells us that the Lord became angry and Miriam became leprous, and Moses prayed for her cleansing. In the New Testament Paul told the believers that there was no difference between the Jews and the Gentiles. Galatians 3:26 & 28 tells us, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus... There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." Many people think they are better than other people and this causes them to be prejudiced against them for their race, intelligence, personal appearance, or physical handicaps. Jesus died for "whosoever believeth" and offers salvation full and free to all who believe. We cannot take away the prejudices of the world, but we can try to show others that the love of God reaches out to all.
With that said, I will also add that a relationship will be more stressed when the two people have totally different backgrounds. If one has always had money to spend at leisure and the other has struggled financially there will be conflicts about finances. There will be problems if one is really neat and the other really messy. Even if both have been raised in Christian homes, there can be problems. I know a young couple who just got married and he grew up in a church with around 60 members and she grew up in a church with nearly 4000 members. He does not feel comfortable in her church and she does not think his church has enough to offer. There are many things to consider when dating. In some cases the differences in racial backgrounds may not matter, but in other families it might cause great friction. In some regions of the country racial differences may be a harder barrier to overcome, not necessarily with the couple, but with the families and friends involved.

"Bible Occupations" can be played similar to Charades using jobs in the Bible. "Time To Every Purpose" would be good for older people who could tell stories about their past. "Behold The Lamb" is drawing Animals in the Bible, like Pictionary. And I just added the Bible Jeopary Game for Easter. Those are a few that might be fun, depending on how active your group may be. I also have many Bible Word Puzzles on the Questions page, if you mean paper and pencil games.

I believe angels walk among us. I don't know about their appearance. We read in Hebrews 13:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." We can read of angels in our Christmas story in Luke 1 & 2, and Matthew 28:5 tells us "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified."

A person can't buy acceptance from God with gifts of charity or good deeds. I am sorry that you have cancer and feel that you are near death. The only way to gain mercy and acceptance from God is to believe that His only Son, Jesus died a cruel death on the cross in our place, to pay for our sin. In John 3:3 Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." You must admit that you are a sinner, and believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and understand that He is the only way to heaven. I pray that you will accept God's free gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.

I am sorry that I don't have all the answers listed for each puzzle. Many times I just forgot to put the answers on the web site. I will work to add the answers at the bottom of each page. I will try to place them so that they will print on a separate page so you can work the puzzles without the answers showing.
