Name 3

Name 3 is a fast-paced game where each person names 3 examples in the Bible according to the paper drawn.  Print the Name 3 list and cut into individual strips and fold, and put in a bowl.  To play as individuals, purchase a 'second' timer and set to 7 seconds.  A person draws the first question and reads to the first player, immediately setting the timer.  Player 1 has 7 seconds to Name 3 of the group listed on the paper.  He scores 1 point for naming 3.  If he does not Name 3 before time is up, play moves to player 2 with the same question, but he can't use any items named by the first player.  Play continues with each person until someone names 3 which were not already named.  If no one can Name 3 during that round, the next draw goes to player 2.  If player 1 correctly names 3 examples then he scores 1 point and play moves to player 2.  Player 2 scores 1 point if he names 3 in the 7 seconds.  If he does not Name 3 then Player 3 gets 7 seconds to try, but can't use any of the items named by Player 2.  Regardless of who answers the missed questions, new questions are read in order to Player 1, Player 2, Player 3 etc.   (The idea for this game came from playing the "5 Second" Game.  We added Biblical catagories and made some rule variations.)

Another way to play is divide into 2 or 3 teams.  Set the timer for 30 seconds.  Player 1 from Team 1 draws and must list things to get his team to name the correct group.  Example:  trees, pastures, grass, emeralds... etc. until someone on his team says, "Things that are green."  After a correct answer he draws again and a point in scored for all correct answers in 30 seconds.  Play then moves to Team 2 and they get 30 seconds to name as many correct answers as possible.  Rotate back and forth until all players from each team have had a turn.

A list of sample answers is provided, but this is not a complete list.  Have a Bible or concordance available for reference for challenged answers.  (The questions are numbered to match the answer list.)
