He Speaks To Me
I was driving us home one day and I asked Michael to pull up our home address so I could see the map and see which was was the best to take.   I looked at the three choices and picked the one that looked the straightest.  After a short time the voice stopped telling us which way to go.  I told Michael that it was okay because I knew how to get where I was going.  And I thought about our journey here on earth.  I told him that it would be good if we could just not worry about the little things on this journey.  We know that we are on the right way.  We know where we are going.  We should not need a voice to constantly tell us where to go if we are trusting in the Lord to get us home.  "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  (John 14:6)

"3  Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4  He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5  After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded."  (John 13:3-5)

As I started writing the devotions from the book of Genesis I quickly found that I can't get all the information that I want to share in just a short little paragraph.  After I was almost through this first book I wondered if anyone was reading them.  I know that many times I skip over articles and stories that look too long.  I started to pray and ask God to show me that at least one person was reading and learning from the devotions.  But, I stopped short.  I realized that God led me to go through the Bible this way.  I feel like this is something that He wants me to do, so I shouldn't worry if anyone is reading them or not.  If I am doing what I feel like God wants me to do, then I don't have to consider what others think about it.  As long as I am being faithful, then that's all that matters.  God does not tell us we have to be successful.  "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."  (I Corinthians 4:2)
