In this game all of the answers contain the word “ear”, in the beginning, the middle, or at the end of the word. A point is scored for every correct letter placed in the answer.  For example, in the word "HEAR", one point would be scored for the letter "H".  The player may guess the entire word, or one letter at a time.  If a letter is correct, the same team may guess another letter until they miss, or the verse is completed.  If the answer is not correct, the same verse goes to the other team.  Points are scored for each correct letter placed in the word, or words, in each verse, so it is possible for both teams to score points on the same verse.  Regardless of which team completes the verse, each new verse is alternated between the two teams.   Verses may be passed from player to player, or a team captain may answer from choices given by teammates.
You will need a large dry erase board and markers, or chalk board and chalk.  Choose a reader and a scorekeeper.  A timer may be used to make sure the game keeps flowing.
The scorekeeper writes the word E A R in the center of the board, and blanks on each side to match the answer of the verse.  The reader reads the verse out loud.  Team 1 guesses a letter.  If the letter is one of the missing letters, the scorekeeper writes the letter and awards a point for each space to Team 1.  Team 1 may continue to guess letters for the verse until they miss.  If the answer is not correct, the incorrect letter is put above the word (so that it will not be guessed again), and Team 2 gets a chance to guess the word, or letter.  Continue until the verse is completed.
